RYA YachtmasterTM - Qualifing Sea Time ...
Mirror reflection, mid English Channel
Under the pre-requisities for the yachtmaster exam you are required to complete

50 days, 2,500 miles including at least 5 passages over 60 miles measured along the rhumb line from the port of departure to the destination, acting as skipper for at least two of these passages and including two which have involved overnight passages.

5 days experience as skipper.

At least half this mileage and passages must be conducted in tidal waters.

All qualifying seatime must be within 10 years prior to the exam.
With our Princess 33 "Seafarer II" which has a category 2 coding (60 miles from a safe haven) we are able to offer a great opportunity for up to 3 persons to gain sea time in the capacity of skipper while enjoying a selection of British & French ports
A crew of two from “Ellis marine services” will be on board in an advisory capacity to oversee a safe passage but it will be down to you to organize all aspects of your qualifying passages

Ramsgate will be the starting point with a plethora of port opportunities to visit, a full circle can be done with Ramsgate the last port or if there is enough interest we can do an alternative end port for the first group and then Ramsgate being the return groups final port call
